Counseling Center

Two AHS counselors

Graduates from Anacortes High School will be well prepared socially, emotionally and academically to thrive in a globally competitive world. They will be self-aware, critical thinkers with the skills necessary to meet personal and career challenges of the 21st century. Through responsible, meaningful choices, our graduates will be successful in life and career, pursuing their passions with a healthy work/life balance.

In partnership with students, staff, parents and community, AHS counselors will provide a comprehensive and engaging school counseling curriculum that encourages active participation in social-emotional, academic, and career development. Through participation in the AHS counseling program, students will have the skills and knowledge to pursue and actualize meaningful personal, career and college goals. Their personal mindset will be one of hope, with the courage to persevere in the face of new challenges and learning opportunities.
